YSN-ASM Reconnects with International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre (ISTIC) in Courtesy Visit

On 14 April 2026, the 2025/2026 Steering Committee of the Young Scientists Network–Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM), led by Prof Mai Chun Wai, conducted a courtesy visit to the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre (ISTIC). This visit marks a meaningful moment of reconnection with a long-standing partner in the science, technology and innovation (STI) ecosystem.
For YSN-ASM, the visit went beyond mere engagement, serving as an opportunity to recognise the importance of staying connected with the institutions and communities that have shaped our journey. As a network driven by young scientists, we believe that progress is not achieved in isolation, but through continuous collaboration, shared learning, and collective growth.
ISTIC has long been part of a broader platform that brings people, ideas, and opportunities together across borders. This visit reaffirmed our shared commitment to advancing science through cooperation, dialogue, and inclusivity.
As YSN-ASM moves forward, we remain optimistic about building on this connection and exploring new possibilities for collaboration that are meaningful, impactful, and grounded in a shared purpose, while continuing to honour our origins and the partnerships that have shaped and continue to inspire us.
